Business & Science Forum for Global Mental Health and the Brain Economy

Eliot SOREL MD, Senior Scholar in Healthcare Innovation & Policy Research, Clinical Professor of Global Health, Health Policy & Management, and of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences​,​ co-chaired the Business & Science Forum for Global Mental Health and the Brain Economy held at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC on Thursday October 6th​, 2016​.

​The Forum included high level leadership participation ​of​ the Canadian Deputy Minister on International Development, the new N​ational Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Director, his Deputy, and the NIMH Director of Global Mental Health, the Director of SAMHSA, ​the ​American ​P​sychiatric Association (APA) ​CEO &​ the new APA Foundation Executive Director, ​business​ ​partners including Kaiser Permanente, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and others. ​The Forum was​ most cordially hosted by the Embassy of Canada (please view the Forum’s agenda below).​
