Academician Ioanel Sinescu, Rector of „Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest was awarded the prestigious title of Doctor Honoris Causa of “Nicolae Testemiţanu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Chişinău, Moldavia
Friday, October 09, 2015, the Senate Hall of “Nicolae Testemiţanu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Chişinau, Moldavia, hosted the ceremony dedicated to granting the title of “Doctor Honoris Causa” to the honorable Academician Ioanel Sinescu, Rector of „Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest.
Academician Ion Ababii, Rector for 20 years of “Nicolae Testemiţanu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Chişinău, opened the ceremony. The Chief of Department of Urology and Surgical Nephrology, Professor Adrian Tănase, MD, PhD, Hab., read the Laudatio, underlining that the Senate of “Nicolae Testemiţanu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Chişinău, Moldavia, values the prestigious scientific achievements of the Academician Ioanel Sinescu, Rector of „Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest as well as his continuous interest manifested in promoting the collaboration between the above mentioned Universities. The acceptance speech “Lectio Prima” given by the Academician Ioanel Sinescu, stimulated the audience reflection. The Ceremony was attended one hand by representatives of “Nicolae Testemiţanu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy academic community, and on the other hand by distinguished Guests.
It is worth mentioning that the “Nicolae Testemiţanu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Chişinău, Moldavia (seven decades of quality of performance; education and research at international standards; 8000 students and residents studying in the five faculties: Medicine 1, Medicine 2, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Residency and Clinical fellowship; over 5000 doctors and pharmacists improve their knowledge annually in the Faculty of Continuing Education in Medicine and Pharmacy) is collaborating with over 90 institutions in about 30 countries.
