Inauguration of Sculpture Exhibition “Constantin Brancusi” at “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest

Intersections between Art and Medicine thanks to creative minds are always inviting audiences to experience better understanding and addressing – to paraphrase the most important sculptor of the twentieth century – the pure joy of the artworks creator in offering the essence of things (while pursuing the inner reality) by concentrating on highly simplified forms free from ornamentation. Speeches delivered within the opening of this Sculpture Vernissage “Constantin Brancusi” were inspiring and memorable, proving intelligence and passion, and keeping the audience fully engaged.
This significant event took place on November 17, 2016, in the Hall of Honor of the Faculty of Medicine at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, and enjoyed a remarkable audience including distinguished Guests such as Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Günter Stock, President of All European Academies (ALLEA). In the images below, you can also see moments from the conversation between the distinguished Guest and Academician Ioanel Sinescu, the Rector of Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest.
It is worth mentioning that ALLEA’s policy work (independent from political, commercial and ideological interests) seeks to contribute to improving the framework conditions under which science and scholarship can excel, this reputed European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities currently bringing together 59 Academies in more than 40 countries from the Council of Europe region, its distinguished Member Academies operating as learned societies, think tanks and research performing organisations.
