The 11th International Summer School of Neurology, Eforie Nord, Romania

The 11th International Summer School of Neurology took place on 3-7 July, 2016 at Europa Hotel, in Eforie Nord, Romania. Program coordinators were Natan M. Bornstein (Professor of Neurology at the Tel-Aviv University, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Israel, Vice President of the World Stroke Organization (WSO), Head of Stroke Unit at the Tel-Aviv Medical Center, Chairman of the Israeli Neurological Association), and Dafin F. Mureșanu (President of the Romanian Society of Neurology, Professor of Neurology, Chairman Department of Neurosciences University of Medicine and Pharmacy, “Iuliu Hatieganu”, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, President of the Society for the Study of Neuroprotection and Neuroplasticity – SSNN). It is worth mentioning that Professor Dafin F. Mureșanu is also the Editor-in-Chief of the “Journal of Medicine and Life”.
The distinguished and highly motivated participants made this edition of the International Summer School of Neurology a great success. SSNN issued a press release that highlighted the main findings of this challenging edition (a true open stage for debates and updated theories in the field). SSNN is recognized as a scientific organization focusing on basic and clinical research, creating discussion forum to contribute to a better understanding of endogenous basic biological processes and consequently development of pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies for positive manipulation of neurotrophicity, neuroprotection, neuroplasticity and neurogenesis.
