The Fourth Edition of the Congress of Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest

The Fourth Edition of Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy Congress, “Interdisciplinary Perspectives”, was organized at the Palace of Parliament, Bucharest, 2nd – 4th June, 2016. This Fourth Edition – “Interdisciplinary Perspectives” – was officially opened by the Rector of Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Academician Ioanel Sinescu.
The 50 Congress Scientific Sessions covered significant areas, attracting researchers from a broad range of disciplines who discussed new opportunities and challenges in the field of medicine and pharmacy, and debated key issues they are facing in improving healthcare, bringing together perspectives throughout the entire complex healthcare supply chain. Within this academic context it was also underlined the importance of enabling healthcare supply chain to anticipate patient needs, considering both the six-point strategy proposed by Michael Porter, and the continuous innovation, better understanding that the success of the healthcare delivering transformation, of the healthcare business performance is dependent on the engagement of the healthcare employee involved in continuous healthcare improvement, driving the outside-in process innovation effort from the patient back, redesigning relationships for healthcare value.
